After the release of their debut album last October, Les Lullies are back with a new song. As to be expected from Montpellier’s hottest band of the moment, it’s chock full of riotous energy and proto-punk fuzz, and is one of two songs that the band have contributed to the record, which is released at the end of May.
Alongside Les Lullies, there are also two songs from their fellow countrymen, The Scanners, who are currently riding on a high around Europe on the back of their new album. Japan’s The Fadeaways, New Zealand’s Cavemen, America’s Black Mambas, and Spain’s Nave Nodriza also all have two songs featured.
Reviewing Les Lullies debut album we said that the band clearly have pure and unadulterated desire bring good time rollicking punk rock to the streets, and that exactly what they have in common with the other five bands on the record. Whether it be razor-sharp stripped back garage rock of The Fadeaways, or the trashpunk of The Cavemen, the twelve songs bring together some of the best underground bands lighting up the circuit.
