  • A masterpiece.

    By Yourneighbourninja
A must have in a collection of every serious musician. The aural wealth of these songs is simply astounding. A pure outpour of emotion, an incredible mix of feelings and moods in every song. Perfectly shaped songs with intoxicating grooves that leave you feeling exalted and drained at the same time. It is truly a masterpiece that can be easily listened to at any time of day and night and will always somehow feel right played at exactly that moment. Definitely one of the best British bands ever. 🇬🇧

Bless those Fools (Gold) that just don’t get it. Enjoy your boy bands until you mature into adults that then understand real music and lyrics of quality such as this bands sounds 😬
  • How can you not like The Stone Roses?

    It's literally impossible.
  • All time favourites

I was 8 when this came out. When I was 16 I stole it off my brother and I loved it. I bought my own copy when I was 21. I just re-bought it for my iTunes library. I love it more with every listen, it can still bring tears to my eyes or lift me up, such a good album. A Masterpiece!
  • Timeless classic

    By The Savage Watchdog
This record is a timeless classic - yet utterly of its time. The Roses where a fine band -all incredible musicians but never introspective noodles. This record is melodic, funky, optimistic, political fired and kool as f*ck. The Roses had bags of pop star attitude and despised indie snobbery. Pre album fame, with nothing but self belief to propel him Ian was asked by a frustrated interviewer what he’d think if he saw some one walking out of one of his gigs. After making her wait an excruciating amount of time he calmly answered ‘well it would depend on what they were wearing’. Yes!!! this album is by turns sugar sweet then dark and dangerous. Also features my favourite lyric - ‘Kiss me where the sun don’t shine, the past was your but the futures mine….. your all out of time’. And they could back it up. The only issue I’d have is the missing Elephant Stone, a classic Roses track written just before the album and much more in keeping than the included Fools Gold.

  • Greatest album ever made

I love every lyric of every song on this album. So ahead of its time, shame music like this isn't made anymore.
